- Products advertised should be easily aligned with one of the services we offer. To see those offerings, visit our home page.
If your product doesn't fall within one of our current services, please contact us. We have made a few exceptions however make no guarantee yours will be another exception.
- Products should be unique to the advertiser.
This means we don't advertise for direct marketing or multi-level companies, or their distributors. We also won't advertise for foundations, corporations, organizations or businesses who have as a primary source of funding one of these businesses or the products produced by one of these businesses. Again, contact us if you have questions about what this means.
- Advertisers are on the honor system.
Since our advertisers know their business model, we give them control over how much, when and even if they pay us. We are not a commercial venture. Ours is a service. However, once you enter into an agreement, either verbal or written, then break that agreement, we reserve the right to remove your ad from our page(s) at our discretion without prior warning.
- Advertisers must not have suggestive or provocative items displayed in their advertisements here or on their sites.
If you wonder what is meant by this, please use this quote as a guideline for pictures which display apparel: And young women, please understand that if you dress immodestly, you are magnifying this problem by becoming pornography to some of the men who see you. (Source article at LDS.org)
- Have an internet presence by having a web-page.
All serious business will, especially since they are so inexpensive. Having a web site will make our job of placing advertisements for you much easier. However, we have posted ads for products where paying for a web presence would be overkill. If you have such a product, have a plan so we can help you help yourself.
- Tracking hits and referrals
We encourage advertisers to employ a method of tracking where their sales come from, so they know whether or not an order comes through our groups or through our advertising pages. We are aware that some of our advertisers don't track word-of-mouth referrals, so don't pay commissions on any sales that result from discussions and referrals in our email groups. We consider this to be unethical.
- Any Advertiser we find to have used deceptive advertising techniques will be removed. We are very intolerant of dishonesty or anything that is considered shady. C. Everett Koop, former Attorney General of the United States said of pornography, "We have a hard time defining what is and what is not pornography, however everyone knows what it is when we see it." The same can be said of shady advertising.
Over the years we've had many experiences, both positive and negative, so this list is subject to change as our experiences grow. Changes will be posted here as they are learned.
