Do Corporations Pay [Enough] Taxes...
Statements are often heard from government* officials indicating that large corporations don't pay enough of their fair share in taxes. Considering the nature of politicians, can we wonder about their motives and sentiments? Can we think about this logically and un-emotionally? Politicians often take a course of action which actually shrouds their real purpose: denying everyone of liberties, starting with confiscation of wealth, whether that be private ownership of property, or just separating us from our hard-earned money. It's debatable that they are actually after life, in the case of abortion, and the pursuit of happiness, too, but I digress. First off (and probably only), corporate taxes are immoral. No corporation pays taxes; zero, none, nada, zip, zilch. Their customers pay taxes, period. Who are their customers? I am, you are, period, end of discussion. If you think it through (probably even if you don't; one's opinion of the truth has never changed the truth), you will know that's a true principle. Corporations are designed to earn money; a worthy pursuit. To do so, they have to charge actual, real dollars for their products, whether they be services or commodoties or whatever... To keep producing, they have to bring in more than they send out. Part of what they send out is the payment of their tax bill. Governments charging taxes to corporations is the government's way of hiding the actual taxes from us, the only ones who pay taxes. We are the producers of wealth, indivudually; one person at a time. The government's purpose is to figure out how to separate us from our money any way they can. If they don't do it well enough, they fail to build their kingdom and we (those who want something for nothing) don't like them... |
| * Government: A politically nice word to use when we don't want to affix blame on a single, specific individual, like say, the person who actually sponsored and wrote the legislation that takes our wealth, under the guise of helping solve a problem; formerly a tax-and-spend liberal, but recently, any politician who thinks government should solve all our problems regardless of political affiliation, whether pachyderm, jackass or whatever. |
